His eyes were cold. The normal playful sea green was replaced with anger and despair. I stepped forward, while the others stood behind, watching warily through their fingers. His expression remained hard, as if we were enemies crossing into his territory. Tears sprung in my eyes. He was gone. My best friend, my ally, was truly gone. He continued to glare, though his face softened as he studied me. Realization dawned on his face. "Annabeth?" I felt the tears flow as the relief flooded over me. "Percy." I said as I ran toward him, "do you remember anything?" his eyes filled with sadness and I immediately knew he didn't. "No," he mumbled, "but I remember you wise girl." I smiled at the nickname he gave me when we were twelve. "That's one thing Hera could never make me forget."
I came up with this in language arts class. I'm reading the son of Neptune right now, and i know the roman camp doesn't change him, but I thought, what if it did? Thus, this was written.
